Friday the 13th: Luckier For Watchmen?

Watchmen debuted to what many stories said was a 'disappointing $55.2 million. Welcome to 2009 where that's disappointing. Will the second Friday the 13th weekend in as many months be any luckier for it? Damned if I know; who am I, Roger Ebert? But I'll give you two reasons to see it, though they may not be similarly undressed in it:



The gorgeous Carla Gugino's career has been all over the map, from playing Mom in the Spy Kids series to American Gangster, the HBO series Entourage, and of course Sin City. She does show off certain assets quite well..

She gets to play Mom here, too, though Silk Spectre's far different than the one from Spy Kids.

Malin Akerman plays Silk Spectre II, in latex for a good bit of the movie (and out of it for some). The Swedish-born actress has been in films like 27 Dresses, Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle and Entourage as well.



Her being in the above red keyhole bikini panties is an obviously overlooked production.




Both Gugino and Akerman may work on the same film again in next year's pregnant porn-star comedy (no, really) Elektra Luxx. Only after Watchmen will that film's wardrobe seem tame..

Freida Pinto: Slumdog Lingerie?

Star in one huge, internationally-known, Oscar-winning movie, and you get asked to do things like a photo shoot for the February 2009 edition of Arena magazine.



Luckily, Freida Pinto said yes.
